Artful Reads June 10 – Alchemy of Flowers by Laura Resau
We would love to have you join us for our monthly discussions! This is our 6th year of teaming up with the Dunlap Public Library to discuss "arty reads" of various genres. We meet via Zoom on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 5:00. You do not have to live in the Dunlap Library district to be a book club member: we actually have a couple of members who live on the East Coast! ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Please email mweyeneth@dunlaplibrary.org for a meeting invite. Please register at least one hour prior to the book club.
New York Times bestselling author Fiona Davis joined our Artful Reads discussion, and our members were thrilled with her visit! She was gracious, insightful, and still joined our scheduled event despite it being a huge day for her career! On the day of book club, it was announced she had been selected as the author of the first American Girl doll book about a grown-up Samantha in a series for adults! That book comes out in the Fall. She also shared information about her next book, set in New York City, which comes out in 2027.
She is the author of eight best-selling historical fiction novels translated into 20 languages. They are all set in iconic New York City buildings, including The Magnolia Palace and her latest book, The Stolen Queen. Artful Reads read both in preparation for her virtual visit.
